Six-crane symphony
Samaras assembles Rieu's spectacular Adelaide "Palace"
The Samaras Cranes team was thrilled to be selected to provide stage-assembly services for the Dutch maestro's incredible November 2008 Adelaide concerts.
The largest stage concert ever to hit Adelaide, it featured a 700-tonne replica of Vienna's Schonbrunn Palace, complete with ballroom, ice-skating rinks, and fountain. Assembly required us to synchronise operation of up to six cranes at any one time, ranging from 50 to 130 tonne.
The Rieu experience adds further weight to Samaras Cranes' stage-assembly credentials, which already include the provision of similar services for international superstars U2 and Robbie Williams, and the renowned Cirque du Soleil.
